Middletown Arrests: Dec. 26 to Jan. 5

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

Jan. 5

TWO COUNTS FIRST-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, FAILURE TO RESPOND — At 8:15 p.m., Darrell A. Bell, 27, of Pearl Street was found with three outstanding warrants after police were investigating another incident. 

Jan. 4

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, FAILURE TO SUBMIT TO FINGERPRINTING — At 9:56 p.m., Terrance Muff, 39, of no certain address was seen by officers at Main and Liberty streets with an active warrant. He refused to take off his many layers of shirts, pants and socks, the report says, and officers had to take them off for him. Once in the cell, he refused to speak, wouldn't look at officers or sign his rights.

Jan. 3

IMPROPER HAND SIGNALING, CARRYING PISTOL WITHOUT PERMIT, WEAPONS IN VEHICLE, POSSESSION OF AN ASSAULT WEAPON, CARRYING A FIREARM WHILE UNDER INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER, ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — Michael L. Farmer, 28, of Evergreen Avenue turned himself into police on an outstanding warrant. When asked why he ran from officers on Dec. 31, the report says Farmer admitted to being "really [expletive] up that night."

OPERATING UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, AND WITHOUT MINIMUM INSURANCE — At 10:24 p.m., Jessica Ortiz, 22, of Park Place, Windsor, was driving on Newfield Street with a headlight out.

Dec. 26

OPERATING UNREGISTERED VEHICLE AND WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 5:37 p.m., Bret G. Plucinski, 51, of Hanover Avenue, Meriden, was involved in a two-car accident at Main Street Extension and East Main Street.
