Jan. 8
On Jan. 8 at 4:26 p.m., police were called to Price Chopper on Washington Street about Eugene A. Young, 33, of Butternut Street, who had a Virginia identification card.
The report says loss prevention officers saw him take a ribeye steak from the meat department and a strawberry cake from the bakery (worth a total of $12.66) and leave without paying.
The report says Young told officers he ran out of money after paying $11.24 for frozen dinners when shopping there prior that day.
Young was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
