Middletown Police report the following incidents:
Feb. 26
SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — Sharita K. Jenkins, 24, of Spring Street turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.
FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATES, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM, IMPROPER HAND SIGNALING — At 1:30 p.m., Joseph C. Albert, 30, of Grove Street, Portland, was in a Volkswagen Passat stopped in the middle of High Street when an officer approached and then sped away at a high speed, pulling into the Christ Lutheran Church parking lot. The report says Albert has his plate on the front seat of his car.

THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THREATENING — At 1:58 p.m., a woman walked into police headquarters saying she had received 28 text messages from her ex-boyfriend, Matthew R. Labbadia, 18, of Farm Hill Road, with graphic sexual content, according to police. There were also threats to her car parked in the city's Melilli log, so the woman found her front tire was flat and flowers had been placed on the hood, police say.
NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL, POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES — At 11:08 p.m., George Soto, 23, of Spice Hill Drive, Meriden, was driving a Pontiac Grand Am out of the McDonald's parking lot on Washington Street with a broken headlight. The officer smelled marijuana, the report says, and found a baggie with a tobacco cigar inside, a scale, marijuana pipe, and another baggie of marijuana, totaling 21.1 grams.
VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — At 7:34 p.m., Edgar Taylor Jr., 54, of South Main Street was at the home of his wife Tamika S. Privott, 37, of Hillside Avenue, police say, in violation of a protective order. The report says he had an outstanding warrant from New Britain. Both were arrested. Taylor was additionally charged with first-degree failure to appear.
SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR, BREACH OF PEACE, FAILURE TO RESPOND — At 1 p.m., police were called to Russell Library on Broad Street about Ross Cieniewicz, 47, of no certain address, who was "babbling incoherently" and yelling, unsteady on his feet, smelled of alcohol and had glassy and bloodshot eyes. The report says a librarian found him staggering around the library, blocking the children's section and the bathroom. The report says when a librarian had to help him from falling, he said, "Do you know who I am? I've killed people." The report says Cieniewicz didn't know where he was.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — At 4:14 p.m., Marco Gonzalez, 42, of Hillside Avenue was at Rite Aid on Main Street when loss prevention saw him hide $393 worth of items, according to the report.
Feb. 20
EVADING RESPONSIBILITY — James Martino, 41, of Dove Lane was involved in a hit and run at East Street and West Lake Drive. The report says Martino drove away because the driver approached him in a threatening way.

TINTED WINDOWS, OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 11 p.m., Raquel M. Ruiz, 33, of Angel Drive, Waterbury, was driving a Hyundai Sonata at Washington Street and Park Place.
Feb. 18
BREACH OF PEACE — At 3:10 p.m., police were called to Stoneycrest Drive about a disturbance between Jessica L. Milton, 18, of Dogwood Drive, Torrington; Adam Pitts, 19, of Woodland Road, Portland, and Nicole M. St. Jean, 29, of Stoneycrest Drive. The report says St. Jean and her boyfriend were ending their relationship and Pitts arrived to help her move out with his girlfriend, Milton, when a shoving match broke out.
