Middletown and West Hartford police report the following incidents:

March 9

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — William R. Allen, 23, of Bidwell Terrace was stopped as a passenger in a routine motor vehicle stop and found with an outstanding warrant.

March 8

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — At 8 p.m. Laura Keating, 34, of Ridgewood Road, Wallingford, was taken in by Middletown Police.

March 6

FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, ILLEGAL POSSESSION, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER, POSSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, FAILURE TO SIGNAL/RESTRICTED TURN — Anthony Rizzo, 27, of Mile Lane, was stopped in the parking lot of Home Depot in West Hartford, according to the report, following a motor vehicle violation. When approached by officers, Rizzo was trying to inject himself with heroin, the report details. When officers attempted to open the door/knock on the window, Rizzo put his car into reverse, backing into the officers' cruiser nearly striking them, police said. 

March 5

FIRST-DEGREE BURGLARY, THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 2 p.m., police served a warrant on Isaac Barrera, 24, of Stoneycrest Drive, who was found sleeping in his apartment. He was charged with the above and Crystal N. Self, 29, of the same address was charged with third-degree larceny.

March 4

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 7:17 p.m., Sarah Weber, 36, of Boston Road told police she tried to call 911 when her boyfriend, Christopher Calabrese started screaming at her kids, grabbed her cell phone and smashed it to the ground. The report says he grabbed her neck and knocked her to the ground. Weber, police say, swung at Calabrese and he fell to the ground, where she continued to hit him. Both were charged with the above and Calabrese additionally for third-degree criminal mischief and interfering with an emergency call.

FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE, DUI — At 1:16 a.m., Michael J. Labieniec, 33, of Red Yellow Road, was driving south in the northbound lane of Main Street and admitted to police he drank four beers, the report says. He had slurred speech, glossy eyes and smelled of alcohol, and his blood alcohol levels tested .212 and .219.

March 2

ILLEGAL OPERATION UNDER SUSPENSION — Matthew J. Coman, 47, of Grove Street was driving a Nissan Murano on Grand Street when an officer recognized him as being arrested in November for DUI. The report says his license was suspended.

Feb. 27

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN REGISTRATION IS SUSPENDED — At 4:44 p.m., Tracey A. Jenkins, 43, of Jefferson Avenue was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on East Main Street.

Feb. 22

INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM,  OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, FAILURE TO HAVE TAIL LAMPS — At 10:59 p.m., Tiffany B. Moorehead, 38, of Long Lane was driving a Chrysler 300 on Randolph Road with a rear marker light out.
