Middletown Arrests: Oct. 24-26

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On Oct. 26 at 12:53 p.m., Hassan Imad, 33, of Grand Street Rear called police, saying he was on the phone with his daughter and heard a scream followed by the photo disconnecting, the report says. His ex-girlfriend and mother of the child said he had been harassing her all day and the prior night so she shut the phone off, the report says, adding he calls from a blocked number. Police contacted Imad by phone at 1:30 a.m. and he asked officers if there were men in the apartment, which appeared to be why he had called 911, the report says. At 1:45 p.m., Hartford Police were asked to secure Imad in his hometown.

SECOND-DEGREE HARASSMENT, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m., David Brown, 27, of Atkins Street turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS, RECKLESS DRIVING, RISK OF INJURY TO CHILD, BREACH OF PEACE, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT — On Oct. 25 at 4:30 p.m., Elvis Jerome Williams, 34, of Higbie Drive, East Hartford, was driving on Spring Street with his girlfriend and their two daughters and they argued, she got out of the car and hit her, the report say.  Her right shin was broken and left scraped and both insisted the brakes failed, police say.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Oct. 25 at 1:01 p.m., Ashley V. Cannon, 25, of LaBella Circle was at Bob's Stores on East Main Street and witnessed by store security taking a pair of men's Timberland boots worth $159 and putting them on her feet, the report says. She admitted they were for her boyfriend. Police say Cannon, who is on probation, has a $100-per-day heroin habit.

INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER, SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On Oct. 24 at 10:40 p.m., Crayton Barnes, 18, of Santangelo Circle was among three men fighting at Stoneycrest Apartments on Newfield Street. He has a record with a May 3 arrest for four narcotics offenses and is still on probation.
