Middletown Police announce the following arrests:
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On Oct. 28, a 9-year-old called police after her father, Ernest C. Austin, 46, of Chestnut Street fell and hit his head. The daughter and the victim were helping the grandmother move, the report says, when they came home to find Austin drunk from drinking a bottle of vodka and he started harassing them. The report says he accused the mother of spending the day with her boyfriend and knocked over a wooden and glass hutch which hurt the woman's wrist.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On Oct. 27 at 3:20 p.m., Lakendra Vereen, 30, of Afton Terrace was picking up her children at her cousin's house when her older daughter arrived unwanted as she is known for tumultuous behavior, the report indicates. Vereen asked her daughter to left who started swearing at and insulting her, then punched her mother in the eye; then her nose.
