Connecticut is strongly backing President Barack Obama for a second term, much like the rest of the east and west coasts of the United States, according to an electoral map compiled by the Huffington Post.
This afternoon, this gauge of where the presidential election stands just days before Election Day places Democrat Obama at 277 electoral votes and Republican Mitt Romney with 191 — based on, according to HuffPo, "hundreds of state-wide and national opinion polls— filtered through a poll-tracking model— and updated throughout the day."
In total, 270 are needed to win the presidency by the times polls close on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m.
The graph shows 70 electoral votes still up for grabs in Florida, Colorado, New Hampshire, Virginia and North Carolina.
