City school officials are looking at how to tackle a potential school district deficit that could hit as high as $1.2 million.
According to The Hartford Courant, Superintendent Patricia Charles said there are a number of line item deficits, particularly in cafeteria services and substitute teaching.
The news came about following a Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.
The deficit could be between $900,000 and $1.2 million, the newspaper reported.
But Charles also said the deficit is falling some other major areas as well.
